"Shoot." I muttered when the paper sliced my finger. I pulled it out to examine the damage. A single drop of blood oozed out of the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. "No!" Edward roared... Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm - into the fevered eyes of six suddenly ravenous vampires.
For Bella Swan there is one thing that matters more than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is more dangerous than she could ever have imagined. Edward may have saved her from one evil vampire, but what will he do when she is threatened by a member of his own family? It suddenly dawns on both Bella and Edward that their troubles may be just beginning.
Well the writing hasn't changed, so you can take that away with you. I honestly don't know what it is about these books. I didn't really like the first book. Had I not gone out and bought all four books, I probably wouldn't have bothered continuing. And in some defeated way, I'm sort of glad that I did continue. This is the book where I became intrigued. It deals with the emotional drama of the stories as oppose to the physical stuff like the vampire battles and everything. Here Bella is presented with a choice and we get into the nitty gritty of relationships. Maybe that's what I liked about it, there was doubt and conflicting emotions. Laughing at the heroine because she doesn't know what she wants.
Just as easy a read as the first book, but this time I actually couldn't put it down.
