"Bella?" Edward's soft voice came from behind me. I turned to see him spring lightly to the porch steps, his hair wind-blown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, and kissed me again. His kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine - like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us.
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again, finds herself in very real and severe danger. And on top of everything, she has a very tough choice to make. She is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob, knowing that her decision will once again ignite the ageless battle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation fast approaching, Bella has to choose between life and death. However, she can't tell which is which anymore.
I liked this book better than Twilight and New Moon because, even though there was the whole emotional thing going on, there was also a lot more action and even a real vampire battle. I also liked it because not all the attention is placed on Bella, Edward, and Jacob. We get to learn the stories of other members of the Cullen family: Jasper and Rosalie. I find that it's very important in stories, book and film alike, to understand all the character's angles. To know exactly where they are coming from. And I felt in Twilight particularly, you did need to know the Cullens' stories. Especially Rosalie's, as her tale explains to the reader why she has never been very chummy with Bella.
Getting thicker, but still a very easy read, Eclipse was a book that I got through in record time. Thrilling and action-packed, a good read.
